F STOP

In the context of a heteronormative world that views the queer experience as homogenous and our understanding of who we are as instantaneous, F-Stop demonstrates that there is no one way to be queer. Each member of the LGBTQIA+ community undertakes their own journey to understand their sexuality, gender and identity.

This journey can result in a sense of clarity about who we are and a way to be our most authentic self.

The works in this collection explore this journey through individual moments captured and framed in the vibrant blocked colours that represent the pride flags, demonstrating the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community and their experiences.

The exhibition is titled 'F-Stop' (F-STOP is a reference to the photography measure of the focal ratio and the concept was the inspiration for the title of this exhibition). Via this title, Marce is expressing the value of letting light into your life and adjusting your personal depth of field to bring in and out of focus what is most important to you.
